DJ Kura

DJ Kura, born Rúben de Almeida Barbeiro in 1987 in Leiria, Portugal, is a powerhouse in the electro-house and big-room scene. He discovered electronic music at age 11 and began DJing professionally in 2005 with a residency at a Lisbon skate shop and later at Coconuts and Bahaus clubs. His international breakthrough came in 2011 with the release of “Brazil,” followed by chart-topping tracks like “Polaris,” “Love Will Find You,” and “Makhor.”

Signed to major labels including Revealed Recordings, Spinnin’ Records, Musical Freedom, and Smash the House, Kura has collaborated with artists such as Hardwell, Laidback Luke, Tony Junior, and Jimmy Clash. He consistently ranked in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs (peaking as high as #39) and launched his own show, Ambush Radio. Known for electrifying live performances at global festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra, DJ Kura blends powerful high-energy sets with expertise in production, sound design, and bootlegs. With an evolving style that even incorporates the edgy Jungle Terror vibe, he continues to push boundaries and inspire the next generation of EDM artists.
